Thank you for your interest and patience. We have revamped the PT’s Garden website to better serve you, including the payment process. We appreciate your staying power as we plowed our way through the pandemic, changes in family and other important life events.
We are so happy to be back. And to see you again.
How do we get back to our regular selves?
One way to cope is to be in the outdoors. A beautiful way to be in the outdoors…is to be in the garden.
Yesterday, I took a walk through our still-frozen Zone 5 gardens. A few brave buds were starting to show. A few strawberry plants were at the very beginning to showing their faces. Throughout the gardens, encouraging signs were showing themselves.
The Pieces of Spring are coming together.
Remember, no garden is perfect, don’t strive for perfection, rather, strive for enjoyment.
- More than ever, the world needs more gardens. Create more school and community gardens, get families gardening together, grow your own food.
- Gardening elevates the spirit. A recent survey showed that 76% of gardeners said they felt more relaxed and 69% experienced greater peace of mind through gardening.
- Public/Community Gardens build connection and feed families. Gardening encourages cooperation, friendship and understanding among communities and groups.
I cordially invite you to join us for the Adel Home Garden Tour. Tour a handful of Adel gardens and choose your favorite plants and ideas for your own garden. PT’s Garden is on the tour! See the Plant Patron® test gardens.

Adel Home Garden Tour
June 26, 2022
Tickets available: Adel Chamber of Commerce
Visit your Garden every day…if only for a short while.
Use the garden as a reflective time, setting aside your cares and worries…to enjoy the flowers. You may see little surprises in the garden: a plant you thought dead is springing to life; a spider has constructed a beautiful web; the butterflies are happily moving from one flower to another. And you may just see a hummingbird.
Let’s Plant On together.
