Welcome to PT’s Kitchen Garden!

As a midwestern gardener, Zone 5, the late fall and winter months are not conducive to outdoor gardening. The long, somewhat dark months of winter can stretch on for a long while. I always use this time to plan next year’s garden. I also bake yummy breads and sweet goodies. This new section of PT’s Garden website will include my favorite recipes from time to time. Some of the recipes have been made in my kitchen for years. Feel free to try out the recipes in your own kitchens. As we wait for the warm gardening weather to return, enjoy the sweetness of a warm-baked cookie and a cup of tea with a friend or a good book.

For our inaugural recipe, please enjoy one of my personal favorites: Grandma’s Soft Ginger Puffs. The tantalizing mixture of cinnamon, cloves and nutmeg are a perfect fall companion. This is a soft, chewy cookie.
